<title>22 Feb 2009 Rummenigge After Koeln Defeat: It Was A Very Bad Day For Bayern</title>
<link>http://highlight-football.adultforumhost.com/54991.html</link>
<description>All is not well at the Allianz Arena after Bayern Munich slumped to their third league defeat in four games against an energetic and resolute Koeln side.Koeln took the lead after 22 minutes. A swift counter attack saw Novakovic flick the ball forward to Nemanja Vucicevic just before he was clattered by van Buyten. The Serb fed the ball forward to Patrice Ehret, who lifted the ball over Michael Rensing with Martin Demichelis too slow to react. Then remarkably Koeln added to their lead on 34 minutes.Debutant Brosinski played the ball to the right to Vucicevic, who burst into the area before fooling Philipp Lahm and pulling a low cross across the six-yard area. Brosinski was then in the right place at the right time to steer a shot past a furious Michael Rensing.Daniel van Buyten headed home a goal six minutes from the end, but it was too little, too late for Juergen Klinsmann's side. Rummenigge told fcbayern.de after the game: &amp;quot; We're disappointed. A win would have put us top of the table. But we've also been lucky, as our rivals are still only just ahead of us.&amp;quot;Nevertheless, we should be looking at ourselves, not the other teams. That's always been Bayern's strength, our belief and confidence. We've lost two in a row, and we need to get out of this rut very quickly, starting with Wednesday's game in Lisbon.&amp;quot;Let me point out that we've played very well up to today: in Stuttgart, in Hamburg, and in Berlin,&amp;quot; he was keen to stress. &amp;quot; We had a very bad day for the first time today.&amp;quot;K ln hit us ruthlessly on the break in the first half, when we didn't look good in defence. We were also robbed of a perfectly good goal. It would have been 1-0 to us, and the game might have taken a different course. But we have to accept the justified criticism that we didn't play well.&amp;quot;K ln pulled ten men back and defended their lead very skilfully. Apart from the last ten minutes, we never put them under undue pressure. Daniel van Buyten's goal gave us a lift, but it wasn't enough for a point at the end.&amp;quot;[img][/img]</description>
